Installing Actions and Presets

This lesson is a two part video.  The first video talks about installing presets on a mac. The second will work of mac or PC and goes through the process of installing Actions to Photoshop CC.

If you are trying to figure out how to install PRESETS on a PC, Please follow these instructions:

1. Download your Presets and unzip the file
2. Open the folder completely and select all of the .xmp files
3. Copy .xmp files
4. Follow this Path and paste your files into the SETTINGS folder: (C:\):\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings
5.  Close Photoshop completely and reopen.
6.  Open a RAW file in ACR (Adobe Camera RAW) Watching the first video will give you an idea of where things are in ACR if you are not familiar with it.
7. Click on second to last tab and search the list for you presets.
8. Use your presets in ACR!

*Note*(for Mac and PC Users) If for some reason, you do not see your presets in ACR after following the steps in the video/or written instructions do this: 
Go to that Presets Tab.  You will see a preset bar appear. At the end of the bar you will see a small arrow, click on it and a pull down menu will appear. Once you see the drop down menu, scroll down to load settings. Click load settings and your finder box will appear.
Locate your settings folder containing the .xmp files and select each .xmp file individually and click “load”.Repeat this step for each preset. After you have selected and loaded all of your files, your ACR presets are ready to use!
